What You’ll Do
As a Class C Delivery Driver at our Chicago facility, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver product to our restaurant customers. This is a full-time, Monday through Saturday position. Shifts start at around 7:00 AM and run until the route is complete, typically around 5:00 PM. Timeliness is very important, since our customers depend on on-time deliveries to run their restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Start each day by helping pick product and load the truck, making sure each order is complete and the cargo is securely stowed.

• Deliver product to restaurant customers on your assigned route, safely unloading goods with proper lifting techniques.

• Complete shuttle runs as needed, picking up product from vendors or sister locations and bringing it back to the facility.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to make sure the vehicle is in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues to management right away.

• Keep accurate delivery records and complete all required paperwork on time.

• Provide excellent customer service by delivering on schedule and handling customer questions or concerns courteously.

• Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws at all times.

• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and coworkers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues on the route.

Requirements

• Valid Class C driver’s license

• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, which we will complete

• Must be available Monday through Saturday, starting at 7:00 AM

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record/

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a box truck driver.

• Demonstrated knowledge of all local traffic laws and regulations.

• Ability to demonstrate safe driving skills.

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Experience working independently and as part of a team.
